When Julie moved into her new home, the first task was to prioritise the projects that needed to be carried out. The outdoor decking area was one of the top jobs on the list.
The existing decking was replaced with wide pine. The final colouring of the decking was the main concern as they wanted to keep a natural wood look that would blend into the existing colour of their home.
After researching and trying out a number of testpots on pine they decided that Resene Woodsman Equilibrium woodstain was the most suitable product available to give the effect they hoped to achieve and blend in with the outside exterior paintwork.
All sides of the planks where painted before they were screwed into place. Once completed a final coat was applied. The chosen colour has been a total success and has given the result that they had wanted.
To complete the project Julie stripped an old wooden table and applied Resene Woodsman Decking Stain in Resene Equilibrium. They now have the perfect deck and outdoor table where they can enjoy many a long hour.
