Blank canvas to feature walls

Rochelle was lucky that she had time prior to moving in to get painters in and paint the interior, top to bottom!

Over several weeks Rochelle spent hours in her local Resene ColorShop with swatches of colour, pillowcases and accessories. It was wonderful having a true blank canvas to work with. Rochelle wanted a feature wall in each room. For some rooms she had a clear vision – like bright red in the dining room and a sky-blue rainbow-adorned wall in the nursery. In others Rochelle had no idea to start with, such as in the guest room where she chose green to match the leaves in a new duvet cover.

The lounge feature wall is Resene Fuscous Grey. Rochelle was worried it would be too dark, but the lounge is a huge space, so it handles it perfectly and is a stunning feature. The master bedroom is a favourite – Rochelle wanted silver, so had Resene Blast Grey 3 sprayed on!

The main background colour throughout is Resene Merino on walls, Resene White on ceilings and Resene Quarter Merino on skirtings. These are teamed with feature walls in Resene Chelsea Cucumber, Resene Wild Thing, Resene Jalapeno, Resene Comfort Zone, Resene Fire Bush, Resene Fuscous Grey and Resene Blast Grey 3. At the last minute, Rochelle even decided to have a feature wall in the laundry – why not!
