Bringing in the blue

Deborah is currently in the process of renovating an older style home, built in 1969. The house was in a worn state and needed some severe upgrades. They are renovating the old laundry area which had been bigger than the original kitchen. They've converted the space into a smaller laundry and a toilet room.

Deborah's husband wanted to tie the 'blue theme' from the recently renovated kitchen through into the laundry, to make it more exciting. He has designed both the laundry and the toilet room. Being a builder by trade he is often surrounded by various colour choices and styles.

The paint he chose for the laundry was Resene Charlotte with Resene Alabaster for both the ceiling and the trim. The board and batten style wall panel was inspired by the age of the house and was sprayed, as opposed to rolled.

The toilet room colours, Resene Half Wheatfield and Resene Alabaster, were chosen by their painter, who was very knowledgeable when it came to selecting the right colours to bring out the right light in the room.

Now that these two rooms are done, the work continues on the others...
