Two times the charm

With American white oak being a feature used in many spaces throughout the home they needed to choose colours that would work with this. They started with Resene Concrete for many of the walls with one exception being the wall flowing down the long hallway and wrapping into the entryway being finished in Resene Triple Concrete. This created a fun shadow type effect playing with your eyes as one side was lighter than the other.

Creating a feature wall with Resene Barometer in the lounge helps the American oak frame surrounding the TV recess pop and using the dark contrast of Resene Tuna in the master bedroom creates a moody and cosy effect when combined with the Resene Concrete trim and oak feature wall.

The guest bedroom features calming Resene Duck Egg Blue to relax and unwind guests while they look over the neighbouring vineyard and mountains. The inside blends nicely with the cedar on the outside which is stained in Wood-X High Country, available from Resene ColorShops.

All but one ceiling throughout the home are painted in Resene Sea Fog.

Their favourite Resene colour choice is on the ceiling in the second lounge area, finished in Resene St Kilda with a white negative detail. When you combine this with the walls in a Poplar Lite plywood finished in Resene Aquaclear satin it creates a unique contrast and a beautiful result.
