Match-making

I just wanted to pass on my gratitude and let you know how helpful your website was for helping us colour-match bridesmaids' dresses, in Australia, with ties for groomsmen in New Zealand.

It was my son's wedding in New Zealand but he and his fiance were in Melbourne and I was in Wellington. The bridesmaids' dresses were also in Australia and we wanted the groomsmen's ties to be same colour. Saying they were "greenish" wasn't that helpful! As the dresses were purchased off the shelf, there were no fabric swatches that could be sent to me.

So we used your website. I got my son to select the colour swatch that most closely resembled the colour of the dresses. It was Resene Cowabunga. I picked up a swatch at a Resene ColorShop and started my search finding a really good match in Nelson.

It was still a bit of a gamble but you cannot believe my sheer delight when I saw the dresses and the match couldn't have been more perfect. Everyone thought they had been made of the same fabric! So thank you very much Resene. Your website provided an amazing service.

Mobile paint

Remember us? We last painted our bus with your paints on the Pacific Coast of Mexico. It looked magnificent as we crossed the border to the USA to be inspected by Texan Border Patrol. We returned to Europe in 2008. Our bus arrived on a boat in Southampton only two days before Glastonbury Festival started. The white market-style tent in the background on the left of the photograph acts as an extra living space and doubles as our office.

You truly make great paints which make people smile when applied to a circus double decker bus. We have a big Resene sticker on the back of our bus.

A toy for Moko

We were lucky enough to swim with the late Moko the dolphin in Otarawaiwere Bay. Wanting to attract him for a photograph, a boatie gave us a Resene paint bucket as he seemed to like playing with it.

Cheerful chairs

Tony Ansell of Avocado Cottage in Tauranga has just completed two matching chairs and planters for his verandah at Avocado Cottage, Tauranga, using Resene Pohutukawa, Resene Eternity and Resene La Palma. I think this just shows how colour can lift the ambiance and delight the soul.
