Create with paint! Projects from habitat by Resene

Need to add some artwork around your home but can’t find anything in a colour to suit?

Why not create your own statement piece using colours to suit your room’s colour palette.

Paint a geometric artwork
Sharp and chic artwork

You will need

Instructions

  1. – Paint the MDF in your base colour and leave to dry. Nikki used Resene Black White.
    – Using the ruler, pencil out the pattern (you want rigid lines here, equally spaced apart).
    – Mask using the low tack masking tape.
  2. – Using the roller, paint all over with Resene Nero. Don't overload the roller otherwise it will bleed under the tape.
    – Remove the masking tape before the paint dries. Leave to dry.

Paint your own piece of art

Top tip:  To adjust the final sheen level of your artwork you can apply Resene Concrete Clear in gloss or flat finish. A gloss finish will make your artwork appear brighter and bolder. A flat finish will make your artwork appear muddier and more weathered.
