Faced with sandstone that was over 20 years old and had never been sealed, the owners were expecting they may need to replace it.
Instead, it has been refurbished with Resene Deep Clean and Resene Concrete Conserver. Resene Deep Clean was applied to the old weathered sandstone and left for two weeks. The sandstone was then washed and Resene Deep Clean applied a second time and left another two weeks and washed off. The final wash off was done with a gurney with maximum psi up to 1800 to ensure the sandstone was not damaged.
Once dry the sandstone was sealed with Resene Concrete Conserver and the owners were delighted with the result, which was much easier and cheaper than replacement.
Resene Deep Clean and Resene Concrete Conserver can also be used on many other concrete areas and paving stones to rejuvenate them. Normally Resene Deep Clean is left on the surface; however it was washed off for this project so they could apply the Resene Concrete Conserver.

Resene Deep Clean helps to keep the surface clean for longer. The owner of this home finished spraying their driveway and as they had a little leftover they decided to spray the footpath outside their house. 12 months on, the area sprayed with Resene Deep Clean is still markedly cleaner than the surrounding pavement area.
No elbow grease required.
This entrance area was sprayed with Resene Deep Clean trigger pack, then left. No scrubbing, no brushing, just connect to the hose and spray.
12 months later, with no additional spraying, here's how the sprayed area looks vs the non sprayed area.
