Sydney
The colours were chosen to give the common areas a luxe and modern feel.
The building comprises of over 200 units with occupants ranging from conventional tenant arrangements, Airbnb holiday letting and owner occupiers. Lick Light & Colour consultants were engaged to provide the building owners with colour options for consideration and approval.

After
ProjectPlus was engaged to complete a full repaint of all common area corridors (including resident doors) across 17 levels, recoating of the garbage room floors and a full carpet replacement across 16 levels while ensuring continuous access to the 200+ units with the complex at all times.
With excellent communication and thorough planning the team were able to work with the occupants and the Building Manager to schedule all works in such a coordinated manner that the painting of the doors and corridors caused minimal to zero disruption as well as ensuring our painters and carpet layers worked seamlessly together to deliver the project on time.
Before
After
Due to the building movement there was a need for ProjectPlus to undertake remedial repairs as part of the painting works including installation of new expansion joints, render repairs, replacement of damaged skirting and installation of new ceiling mounted grilles. By installing new expansion joints where needed the risk of further cracking to the internal walls and ceilings was reduced.

After 3
Originally the resident doors were all intended to be black for consistency and visual impact however in the end the owners agreed to allow each individual lot owner to choose which colour they preferred. The carpet selection was a modern version of the existing carpet and was a driving force around the corners selected for the painted surfaces. The colours were chosen to give the common areas a luxe and modern feel.

The corridor walls and ceiling are finished in Resene Oasis, using Resene SpaceCote Low Sheen on walls and Resene SpaceCote Flat on the ceiling, complemented by projected walls, doors and trim in Resene Oak using Resene Lustacryl semi-gloss waterborne enamel and nominated apartment doors in Resene Black, also using Resene Lustacryl.
All colours and paint finishes were decided by the committee in consultation with the Colour Consultant and Building Manager.
