Raglan

The client described her style as eclectic and rather busy. She needed help on her new build colour scheme. She had been drawn to a colourful installation at the Waikato Home and Garden show, and wanted this love of colour brought into her home.

The house is located in Raglan overlooking the ocean and surrounded by lots of nature as it sits higher up on a hill. The challenge was to give her a cohesive sanctuary where the eclectic meets the calm within the relaxing environment.

This meant finding the perfect colour that could be carried throughout the house and enhance the interior space as well as the surroundings and draw attention to the details around the house, without overpowering the space and detracting from the water views. Resene Washed Green was chosen. It could be carried throughout the house and be consistent and enhance the space and help the accessories to stand out.

A highlight was using Resene Washed Green on the ceiling in the bathroom, a nice change from a boring white ceiling.

To complete the look Resene Quarter Thorndon Cream was used as a unifying neutral. In the bathroom the lighter off-white of Resene Double Alabaster was chosen to work with the natural light.

All areas were finished in Resene SpaceCote Low Sheen for a seamless style from wall to ceiling.
