It’s easy to revamp an old painted patio with a little bit of help from Resene.

Weekend DIY with Mark Rayner - Project 55
Difficulty level: Moderate
You will need: Bucket, concrete patio area (previously painted with waterborne paving paint), garden hose with clean running water, paintbrush, paint stirrer, paint tray and roller, Resene Moss & Mould Killer, Resene Non-Skid Deck & Path tinted to Resene Off Piste, Resene Paint Prep and Housewash, rubber gloves, stiff-bristled brush.
To get the look: Mark painted the background wall with Resene Lumbersider tinted to Resene Pale Prim.
Other ideas: For a darker grey effect, paint the patio area with Resene Non-Skid Deck and Path tinted to Resene Traffic.
Top tip: Non-skid finishes will trap more dirt than smooth finishes. Use Resene Paint Prep and Housewash to wash the surface as needed to keep it looking good.
