Mural Masterpieces - Parkvale School

 Parkvale School mural

Location:
Parkvale School, Howard Street, Hastings.

Team:
Jil of Aotearoa (Jil Sergeant) and Ruby Moon Dog.

Accessible to public:
Yes, end of library.

Mural theme:
Protection of native NZ bush and its toanga (treasures).

Background to mural creation:
Part of a continuing theme to encapsulate the entire exterior of the library to create interest in the library and a desire to enter, one side is now covered in a native theme. Reflecting just some of the things you can learn about within, going to the library is now a bright prospect rather than dull and boring.
