Background to mural creation:
Mt Manaia, at the Whangarei heads, is depicted in this mural as an artist's impression of the view we have when out across the Whangarei harbour just over the road from our school in One Tree Point. The mural was designed to promote the Arts in the community and brighten up a drab wall that can be seen from the road.
