Mural theme:
Our school, our community, our country.
Background to mural creation:
This mural has been painted onto one of the school’s new classrooms to highlight and celebrate the ever developing school. It represents the things that they value in the school. Amberley PRIDE features strongly along with Amber and Lee the school mascots in the middle of the mural. The second layer represents the community and aspects of the awesome things that happen in Canterbury, and the outer layer represents New Zealand, a unique and remarkable country. By the centre part being about the school and students it is also indicative of the way their integrated topic studies evolve from themselves, to the community, to their country and beyond.
