Background to mural creation:
The Whangarei Intermediate Pool is now adorned with a bright and
bold mural featuring Tivaevae - quilts from the Cook Islands teamed
with kowhaiwhai patterns. The mural fulfilled all three of its
aims - to celebrate cultural diversity, local Maori culture and
to improve the school environment.
