| What with wallpaper At first, being a 4 year old girl, Hunter wanted her room to be pink but because everything else she had was pink they decided to go for a colour that would complement the pink and Resene Kingfisher Daisy was just the perfect colour to use. The great thing about the colour is that it is supposed to relax active children and it certainly does that - Hunter just loves playing in her special purple room for ages.
Tatum's room was predominantly a white room, so they wanted to give the room some colour, through both new paint colours and new yellow curtains that were bought on special. Keen to give the room and a cool and relaxing personality, they selected Resene Curious Blue - a colour that works brilliantly with yellow curtains and also reds and pinks. Tatum was so excited when she saw her new room - she thought she was at the beach!
The dining area was finished in white textured wallpaper - the wallpaper was bland but they both liked the textured pattern and decided to make the most of it by accenting it with a paint colour. The room is now painted with a Resene Aquamarine feature wall and Resene Haystack on the remaining walls to tone in with the curtains and wooden furniture.
The Resene Aquamarine ended up being such a good look, that it found its way into the master bedroom too.
Thanks to Tracey Kawana of New Plymouth.
