Your Home and Garden Resene Inspiration Gallery

Paint place
A couch is painted in Resene Cardinal with Resene Blue Gem and Resene Chilean Fire stripes and squares.Everything in Jane's home from walls, furniture, rugs, cushions, curtains to paintings on the wall is painted with Resene paints.

Owner of about 100 testpots, everyday she paints something with them and finds herself always on the lookout for a new colour that will compliment what she already has. She frequently changes her colours with a philosophy that if you paint something and you don't like it it's easy to change.

Firmly attached to colours from Resene, preferred because of their vibrancy and pureness, she is particularly enamoured of the blue range. She does warn however that when you have a house with so many bright and contrasting colours you have to be careful about colours killing other colours.

Her huge range of favourites includes hues such as Resene Havelock Blue, Resene Jordy Blue, Resene Sail, Resene Pattens Blue, Resene Endeavour, Resene Lochmara, Resene Curious Blue, Resene Picton Blue, Resene Malibu, Resene Outer Space, Resene Rouge, Resene Lipstick, Resene Pompadour, Resene Blue Diamond, Resene Kingfisher Daisy, Resene True V, Resene Paris M and many more!

Resene paint creatively used on garden rocksSome of the more unusual things Jane has painted around her home...

  • Two rocks in the garden - one weighing 170kg and the other 200kg, using the natural contours of the rocks to define colour breaks.
  • Picture frames - all in a selection of purples.
  • A couch is painted in Resene Cardinal with Resene Blue Gem and Resene Chilean Fire stripes and squares.
  • The paintings on the walls and the curtains are all painted with testpots.
  • Kitchen floor tiles are painted to match the cupboards.
  • Offcuts from a picket fence have been painted into fish and now adorn an exterior wall.
