After looking at many newer homes around the area, the Olsen family decided that pastel earth tones were what were needed and luckily both liked Resene Biscotti. Their painter suggested the Resene system of half/double tones leading them to choose Resene Double Biscotti on walls complemented by normal strength Resene Biscotti on trim. These tones complement the roman antique brickwork below window level and the rich brown of the decramastic roof.
The netting fence has now been replaced with plastered concrete columns
and framed timber panels turning the open front lawn into a nice courtyard.
The plaster was sealed with Resene Limelock to seal in any free lime
and finished in two coats of Resene Lumbersider satin acrylic tinted
to Resene Double Biscotti. The timber panels were finished in two coats
of Resene Woodsman tinted to Resene Oiled Cedar for a natural timber
look. A new deck is to be added to the home finished in Resene Kwila
Timber Stain for accessible outdoor living. Once done the area will
be landscaped and the Olsens will be able to sit back and enjoy their
new surrounds.
Thanks to Norm and Diane Olsen of Napier.
