Jack and Lynn had always longed to live in the country and loved
old villa style homes. Combining the two they decided to build
a new replica villa in Warkworth, and after much searching and
nearly giving up, they found a builder who could build them just
what they wanted.
They now have all aspects of an old villa - the beautiful kauri
floors, high studs, wraparound verandahs, leadlight windows and
country style kitchen. To top it off they were able to paint the
house inside in and out in whichever Resene colours took their
fancy.
The outside of the house is finished in Resene Malta and Resene
Parchment to give a very natural and welcoming appearance.
The interior was painted in various colours.
Resene Burning Sand features in the hall and lounge for a lovely
warm ambience. The kitchen and dining are painted in Resene Bermuda
Grey complemented by doors and cabinetry in Resene Parchment,
which lends a rustic country atmosphere to the area.
With each bedroom destined to have its
own theme, each has been painted in its own colour: Resene Rose
for the main bedroom and ensuite bathroom, Resene Coral for the
second bedroom, Resene Green Mist for the third bedroom and Resene
Heather for the fourth bedroom.
The guest bedroom and toilet have been finished in Resene Powder
Blue from the Karen Walker collection.
