When 12 year old Karima and her family moved into their new house
everything was cream - the walls, the floors and the curtains.
She asked her mum whether she could paint her room, creating much
surprise when she unveiled her sketches.
Her mother made a few adjustments like angling the stripes and
not painting stripes behind the pinboard, but otherwise the finished
room is very similar to the original sketches. After buying the
paint - Resene Eastern Blue, Resene Atlantis, Resene Gorse, Resene
Cranberry, Resene Pizazz and Resene Sèance - it took 6
months to get the decoration underway, with her mum now raving
about how good the new masking tapes are.

Once the room was finished they had a grand opening - the neighbours
arrived with champagne and a ribbon was cut across the door.
With the curtains, the pinboards with her favourite horses and
the colours, Karima's room is one of a kind!
