Guest spot - Copthorne Hotel
Copthorne HotelRepainting the expansive exterior and interior of the Copthorne Hotel in Durham Street, Christchurch entailed the application of litre upon litre of coating.

Exterior concrete ribbed panels were coated in an impressive 600 litres of Resene Wintergrade Hi-Glo gloss acrylic, applied in two coats. Resene Wintergrade Hi-Glo is specially formulated to cure in temperatures down to 2°C enabling contractors to continue painting through cold winter days.

Inside, wallpaper has been banished from sight with all existing room wallpaper coated in 2250 litres of Resene Thixalon 5 tinted to Resene Parchment (beige neutral) for a light, yet easy to clean, textured effect. Resene Zylone SpaceCote adorns the corridors to complete the fresh, durable and easy to maintain system. With all products enjoying Environmental Choice approval, contractors could isolate and paint specific areas without disrupting the workings of the hotel.

Guests can now rest easy in freshly coated surrounds without enduring paint fumes.
