In the words of the artist herself, Resene Enamacryl has been subjected
to, and withstood, considerable abuse in the course of new artist Lois
Perry, an up and coming Auckland artist, focused exclusively on using
Resene Enamacryl gloss waterborne enamel with a Resene Quick Dry acrylic
primer undercoat over substrates of aluminium, canvas and board as part
of a final study year for a Master of Fine Arts at Elam. Despite the
abuse, the colour strength has shone through and the paint remained
tough and flexible. The finished works are abstract and brilliantly
colourful with an eye-catching glossy surface.

Each painting began life as a horizontal/vertical weaving pattern individually
worked by the artist to allow colours to assert themselves and flow
through and over each other creating a myriad of new colour blends as
multiple colours intersect.
