Colour: Resene Pirate

"I found my inspiration in flower petals and fish scales. I liked the overlapping look of the scales and petals and wanted to apply this to my design as it would add texture and movement to my dress.

My mood has a tropical, summer feel to it, also inspired by the name of my Resene colour Pirate. I thought the alternating scales would be a great standout feature on my dress as I could mix and match the two colours to create different patterns and effects."
