"I have made a suit because it symbolises my life path when I came to New Zealand. It is a mix from where I came from and where I am living.
The Eastern Blue colour means everlasting; as with my look and the quality of Resene colours, it is associated with immortality. It is also the name of a bird, which is why I have used the brocade to make this raglan sleeve that symbolises the feathers of the bird.
The outfit has the immortality of the tailoring but with a contemporary, modern and sophisticated look."
