Colour: Resene Bondi Blue

"My inspiration came from researching the Resene website and finding that Bondi Blue was used in the Victoria Park column project 'colours of our history' where Bondi Blue was used and categorised as 'post war'. From this I was influenced to focus on post war 1950s Dior 'New Look' features which a clinched waist, bust with tucks to exaggerate and a longer length).

I was also inspired by Bondi Beach, being that Bondi Blue was described as a 'fast pace all beach and surf fresh'. I was especially drawn to images of waves crashing against Iceberg pool walls at Bondi Beach and images of the Bondi Pavilion contrast and the curved archways and the straight angled roofline (neckline)."
