"A few years ago I spent my life alone in a new country where I moved to start my new life. I learnt how to spend time by myself doing things, travelling to different places. Happy that I got to see and do things, but I always have that one feeling, that feeling that I carried around with me everywhere was the feeling of loneliness.

This was about to change, I met a man. He is sweet and kind. He came with his warm smiles. I still remember that day. He is special not like another. We have so many different and similar things, but our differences bring us together in a way I can't describe. I new straight away I wanted a chance for something new to my life. To start my new journey and new beginning with him. Since that day we've been through a lot of happy and sad times together. We've journeyed to far away countries where both of us have never been before, we have shared new experienced and learned to do new things together with love and happiness. Thankful to destiny that brought us together. We don't know what tomorrow is going to be like, but we will be our best today.

During the lockdown we got to spend more time learning and doing more new things together. We've been cooking and baking. We made lots of desserts and my favourite thing that we had made together is Belgium biscuits. Working together making the biscuits we prepared we slowly mixed all the ingredients. The rich velvety pin strawberry jam. The crunchy sweet cinnamon flavour of the biscuits. All topped with icing ad a sprinkling of raspberry jelly crystals. Yum!

These good memories inspired us to share the joy with our friends and family. We thought it could be amazing to bring them the same happiness by baking and sharing our Belgium biscuits with everybody to celebrate coming out of lockdown.

I always get inspired by many different things – weather, nature, cultures, cities, phrases, history and especially personal experience, how different people have different stories that when I hear always catch in my heart, because every story I hear has its own interesting view. Doesn't matter how hard things are there will always be a bright and shiny day waiting for us if we learn to fight and not give up.

I never thought this story of mine would be my inspiration for this project with Resene until I got the Resene colour name Scrumptious with the new beginning theme I knew straight away it's time to share this story with everyone."
