Background to mural creation:
Seven Year 6 students were selected for an art extension experience. They were asked to create a mural that reflected both the school’s whakatauki/motto and the many cultures present in the school community. The students researched the cultures present and how to best represent them as images in the mural. Their hope is that every whanau in the school can look at the mural and see themselves in it.
