History of Wairaka, connecting to present cultures in our school.

Background to mural creation:
The mural was designed to preserve the history of Wairaka (Ngati Awa princess), her journey from Whakatane to Auckland/Mt Albert. It was an extension from the creation of the school pepeha. The mural has great significance to the school.
