Background to mural creation:
We wanted to produce a mural that reflects not only our school's HEARTWISE Values (Honesty, Excellence, Aroha, Tolerance, Whanau, Inquiry, Sustainability, and Effort), but also reflects our ties to the local hapu/tangata whenua (Ngati Rehia) and the puūraākau (stories) and the places of significance to them.
