Background to mural creation:
Keen to brighten up the new entranceway to the school, Rachael created her first and only mural with a design inspired by the surrounding landscape and Waitetuna eel, which is also the school mascot.  The design was also used for the new school letterhead.  The use of the koru pattern works well with the Ministry of Education Curriculum koru pattern 'life long learning'.  There are further plans to add to the mural when windmills are added to hills opposite the school and to keep the designs in tune with the changing landscape and developments.
