An insect garden paradise.

Background to mural creation:
The new mural complements the 'Insect garden paradise' garden created as an environmental education programme in 2006.  Originally the mural design was created on a calico backdrop for the junior school musical production called 'The sunflower that went flop'.  It was decided that the design would be recreated onto this mural back board so the children's 'garden' drawings could be seen by everyone all year round! The flowers, birds, trees, insects and more were transposed by an adult onto the board and all 87 children elected to paint a small portion of it.  The senior children stood on scaffolding to reach the highest parts of the mural.  This artwork creates a very colourful backdrop to the children's lunch area.
