History of the area.

Background to mural creation:
Pasadena School wanted to celebrate the history of the area they live in and the mural was the idea of the student council.  It was also put up to stop graffiti on the walls in the shade area and it has worked.  A team of students researched the history of the area from the volcanoes, pre-civilisation, Maori myth of creation of Meola Reef, pre-European, colonial times, arrival of Polynesians, our area today and their ideas for the future.  Each board is 2400cm x 1200cm.
