Kohanga Moa.
Background to mural creation:
The mural is designed to represent the children and the Whanau hubs using the trees and birds of the kura (Miro, Kauri, Kowhai and Rata trees and the juniors represented by the Pepe fern frond). The school mascot, the moa, is hiding amongst the trees in the Waionganga Iti river that flows beside the kura. The mural at the front gate represents the school and the community.
