Background to mural creation:
In 2006, Waihi Beach School engaged in a whole school, gifted and talented unit, to enhance our school environment.  The new entrant class, room 8 designed the patterns inside the jigsaw pieces and it was decided to paint them onto a large block mural wall near the junior playground.
