Mural theme:
Kiwiana/School jubilee.  A Kiwiana theme to celebrate 50 years of the school being open.

Background to mural creation:
The hall entrance needed a facelift.  Students created Kiwiana puzzle pieces that looked like they were scattered on the wall.  The pieces all include Kiwiana icons familiar to people over the last 50 years.  The mural is created as a collection of artworks.  The hall also has a tuatara, a Kiwiana butterfly and two pukekos.  The table tops are a kiwifruit and paua shell.  The area was opened by 1957 Foundation teachers and students.
