As they were developing a personalised curriculum for the school, they felt it was important to identify things that were important to them and their community. Each letter represents a theme they think is important.
H – Wellington and the harbour and hills.

I – Sports
T – Transportation.
A – The beaches and oceans around Wellington.
I – The legend of Whataitai who got stranded on the hill making the Hataitai hill. Our school logo and motto.

O – The many cultures that make up the school.
