Mural Masterpieces - Halcombe village

Location:
Halcombe village, rural Manawatu. The mural is on the wall of the Manawatu District Council public toilets that faces into the children’s playground and is adjacent to the tennis courts and rugby field. It can also be seen from the North Island Main Trunk line and can be viewed by passing trains. It can also be seen from Halcombe Road.

Mural theme and background to mural creation:
It was decided that if the mural was for children to enjoy, then children should be involved in the design. Entries from local children were used as a montage. The theme is bright, vibrant with a 'can you spot' aspect.
