Background to mural creation:
Tracey is a support worker working in a residential house with people with severe disabilities. Tracey wanted to do something special for these men by brightening up their section and giving them something awesome to look at. So Tracey started painting in 2020 and when she wasn’t rostered on shift, she painted. She also stayed late at night to paint. One of the clients is good at jigsaws and has a jungle animal jigsaw he loves, so this was the inspiration to create a mural with jungle animals. The two water tanks feature kiwi animals inspired by this house in the country. The mural gives the men so much joy.
