Background to mural creation:
The Tahunanui Community Centre mural was completed just in time for their big celebration open day, celebrating 25 years since the Centre based Playgroup first started and the Centre started to take shape.

The Tahunanui Community Centre is an incorporated society, running pre-school sessions, playgroup sessions, an after school group and an older adults group as well as numerous courses and training sessions to benefit the staff and the community.

A local business, New Zealand King Salmon kindly paid for an artist to complete the mural.
