Habitat bright ideas with Fleur Thorpe – DIY projects
Make Mother’s Day extra special with this handmade bouquet. Or why not surprise mum or a special friend or family member with this gift.

Step 1
Start by painting your art canvas with Resene Amulet. While this is drying, get started on the handprints.
Step 2
Fleur used 225 gsm card for the handprints, but normal paper would work just fine as well. Be quite liberal with the amount of paint that you apply to the hand and work quickly as the heat from a hand can dry the paint surprisingly fast.
Step 3
Use scissors to cut out the handprints and then glue them on to your canvas with PVA glue.
Step 4
Paint on some stalks with Resene Crusoe and once this is dry, finish by hot gluing a ribbon on and adding a few spots of Resene Dawn Pink as some Gypsophila flowers around the edges. Use the end of a pencil to do this.

Top tip: Use Resene FX Pearl Shimmer on the last handprints to add a little extra shimmer to the bouquet.
