To enhance the resort-style look of this new bathroom, the designer specified Resene Spacecote Low Sheen in Resene Alabaster.

Interior designers deal with colour and movement all day, so it’s not surprising to hear they like to come home to a simple and peaceful living environment.

Designer Di Henshall created such a retreat in her bedroom and ensuite. The design of these rooms, which are connected by adjustable louvres, reflects the tropical climate. The colour of the walls also enhances a resort feel.

Henshall says she specified Resene Alabaster from the Resene The Range Whites & Neutrals fandeck. Described as a blackened white, Resene Alabaster creates a fresh, contemporary look.

The walls feature Resene SpaceCote Low Sheen, a tough, low-odour, waterborne enamel, which is well suited to bathrooms and kitchens.

Resene marketing manager Karen Warman says this paint provides a durable, washable, enamel-like finish. In critical light areas, its reduced side sheen minimises surface imperfections.

“Combined with a skim coating of Resene Broadwall Surface Prep or 3 in 1, a great finish is easy to achieve,” she says. The Range Whites & Neutrals fandeck complements The Range fandeck, which features more than 150 shades reflecting local and international colour trends.
