Surprise!

Rebecca's daughter had been hounding her for some time to redecorate her bedroom so as a surprise for her birthday she sent her away for the weekend and redecorated her room while she was away.

She had mentioned that she wanted her room light and bright and also liked black and white stripes. Her room had previously been decorated with Resene paints in purple tones.The doors, skirting and scotia were already painted in Resene Wheatfield so the walls were repainted in Resene SpaceCote Low Sheen in Resene Half Wheatfield. The stripes were then masked and painted in Resene Nero.

The carpet was lifted from the floors and they were also painted in Resene Nero and sealed with Resene Qristal ClearFloor 1K.

A black roller blind replaced the purple curtains and a new set of white shelves were added. Her mirror was sprayed silver. Existing white furniture and chandelier were retained.The room looked fantastic and was totally transformed. Needless to say, her daughter was absolutely ecstatic about it and overwhelmed and loves hanging out in there - more than ever!
