And baby makes fourBaby number four was on the way so it was a rush to get all four children's rooms replastered and painted within a six week time frame. Each girl chose their room's feature colour - Lauren chose Resene Lipstick, which was put around her room except for the two walls with windows. Kayla chose Resene Studio for her feature walls. Her room has a very high ceiling at one end so this was somewhat challenging to paint. Both love their recoloured rooms and with more bits and pieces to be added to them, they are set to get even better. The new baby's room had a definite deadline because Luca was due soon. Loving blue and lime together, Tracy found Resene Wild Willow was a nice tone of limey green. Deciding which colour to put on which wall was the hardest part so to make life easy they did two of each plus painted the drawers and shelves to match and a couple of pictures to blend in too. It's a nice bright room now and seems to have a relaxing feeling to it. Tracy is looking forward to one day buying co-ordinates to match the popularly toned colour scheme. The blinds finished the room, made by Redgraves
The last of the four children's bedrooms is located on the southern side of our house and had a very cold feeling about it. One day Tracy had a vision and went about finding colours to fit - she decided on Resene Golden Sand and Resene Wild Willow. Seven months pregnant it was quite a challenge to do the ceiling with all the climbing up and down the ladder. To start the room, Tracy painted the Resene Golden Sand, then she drew a faint pencil line around the room over the yellow paint for the green hills before painting them using Resene Wild Willow. Tracy loves the warm sunshine feeling it seems to bring into the room and has since found some wallies and stencils to add interest.
Each room now has a personality of its own and a child to love it just the way it is. Inspiration gallery 2004
