Resene kids art with Mark Rayner - Project 06

You will need: 2 plastic craft eyes, Coloured feathers, Coloured pipe cleaners, Glitter, Paintbrush, Piece of cardboard folded in half, PVA glue, Resene Art Action Tempera in Resene Cool Yellow and Resene Orange, Safety scissors

Step one
Paint the front of your card with two coats of Resene Art Action Orange. Once it’s dried, paint a head, neck and shoulders with two coats of Resene Art Action Cool Yellow.

Step two
Using the PVA, glue coloured feathers on top of the head to form crazy hair.

Step three
Stick on the plastic craft eyes, and cut pieces of coloured pipe cleaner with the safety scissors to make the mouth, braces, arm and hand. Carefully glue these into position with the PVA glue.

Step four
With the PVA write ‘HI’ in one corner, and sprinkle it with purple glitter. Make a squiggly pattern around the background and sprinkle this with gold glitter. Once the glue has dried, shake off the glitter, and there you have it – your very own greeting card!
