Resene kids art with Mark Rayner - Project 29

Difficulty level: Moderate

You will need: Frisbee, Paintbrushes, Resene Testpots in the following colours: Resene Alabaster, Resene Curious Blue, Resene Havoc, Resene Nero, Resene Waterborne Smooth Surface Sealer, Sandpaper

Top tip: If you want a shiny look to your frisbee, finish it off with one coat of Resene Multishield+ Gloss (now Resene Concrete Clear).

Here's another idea: Create a fun flowery design using Resene Kingfisher Daisy, Resene West Side, Resene Cinnamon and Resene Black.

Step one
Lightly sand the frisbee to ‘key’ the surface – you might need to have a grown up help with this bit.

Step two
Apply one coat of Resene Waterborne Smooth Surface sealer to the frisbee and allow to dry.

Step three
Apply two coats of Resene Curious Blue, allowing two hours for each coat to dry.

Step four
Paint the body of the butterfly with Resene Nero, the wings with Resene Havoc and the eyes and mouth with Resene Alabaster. Once it’s dry, go outside and get flying!
