Resene FX Pearl Shimmer Resene Pearl Shimmer is a waterborne pearlescent glaze ideal for creating shimmering wall finishes and softly sparkled features to add visual interest and diversity to any colour scheme. Resene Pearl Shimmer is always used in conjunction with a basecoat tinted to a selected colour. The choice of basecoat will depend on whether it is an interior or exterior application. Resene Pearl Shimmer may be applied over a wide variety of substrates, including trim and joinery, offering the user an almost infinite selection of colours. The most accentuated pearlescent effect will be achieved in combination with a textured basecoat, a well-planned lighting scheme and/or a curved surface. As the final appearance will vary depending on the basecoat colour and method of application, always test and confirm a sample panel before completing the full project. Typical uses: Architraves, bathrooms, cementitious surfaces, furniture, kitchens, laundries, paperfaced plasterboard (GIB®, Gyprock®), plywood, skirtings, timber doors, wallboards, window frames. |

Resene Non-Skid Deck & Path A short shower or errant splash and swimming pool surrounds, decked areas and steps can become dangerous. Surfaces that were non-slip when dry suddenly become a slippery slide when water or wet feet are added to the equation. Resene Non-Skid Deck & Path is a textured waterborne finish, designed to provide a comfortable walking surface for all interior and exterior situations where a non-skid finish is desired. Available in a desirable low sheen finish, Resene Non Skid Deck & Path may be tinted to complement existing dècor, both inside and out. The finish has a comfortable grit texture to give feet and shoes something to grip onto, reducing the risk of accident no matter what the weather. Resene XC-700 Resene XC-700 is a clear high build finish designed to seal concrete and masonry walls for a lightly textured 'natural look' finish. It contains graded glass that performs a similar function to aggregate in concrete – reinforcing and strengthening and helping fill voids and cracks in the surface. Resene XC-700 improves the fungal resistance of coated surface and has zero permeability when tested to AS/NZS 4456.16. Getting the right amount applied is critical to the optimum surface finish so Resene works with the painting contractor to ensure the quantity required per project is calculated before any product is supplied. Resene AquaShield Resene AquaShield is a high mineral content, super hydrophobic, water repellent coating with excellent coverage for application on porous building materials to impart watershedding properties. It combines the water repellent properties of silicones with a special surface micro-structure, which considerably reduces the contact area for water and dirt. The result: dirt particles adhere lightly and are more easily carried away by rain. Ideal for highly stressed weather-exposed facades. Made to the original Deutsches Patentschrift 1284007. Although it has excellent weather resistance, as with most waterborne finishes it allows the building to 'breathe' so that water vapours from inside are able to pass through the paint film to the exterior. Resene AquaShield is an attractive flat mineral effect finish, a classic aged look, particularly suited to heritage, art deco, Sante Fe and Mediterranean style homes and buildings. When used commercially it is best applied to heritage buildings that suit the soft, slightly textured finish. Use Resene Lumbersider or Resene Sonyx 101 for foundations or other high wear areas. Porous substrates should be pre-treated with Resene Aquapel to maximise water repellency and breathability properties. Resene AquaShield can be used in conjunction with other primers and sealers, but water repellency and breathability properties will be impaired. Typical uses: Brick, concrete block, fibrous cement, natural stone, poured concrete, stucco, tilt slab. |

Resene Resitex - Standard, Medium, Coarse Resene Resitex is a tough waterborne textured spray finish with excellent adhesion and flexibility, available in three grades Resene Resitex Coarse - 880 micron deeply textured rugged texture, Resene Resitex Medium - 500 micron heavy Mediterranean texture and Resene Resitex Standard - 300 micron light Mediterranean texture. These textures effectively disguise the imperfections and surface blemishes of a substrate without detracting from the architectural concept. Typical uses: Block and brickwork, concrete, fibre cement, G.R.C. panels, monolithic building systems, primed galvanised steel, solid plaster, suitably primed wallboards. |

Resene Sandtex Resene Sandtex is a tough waterborne textured spray finish for beautifying and protecting concrete structures. It has a fine texture of 150 microns and is often used recreate the texture of natural sandstone. Inherently durable, it may also be used to create lightly textured effects is ideal for use when disguising minor surface imperfections. The time-worn strength of sandstone with the mellow patina of age has been recreated in Resene Sandtex. Perfect for beautifying and protecting concrete, this very versatile finish can be used to reproduce a variety of finishes from aged render effects through to natural limestone and sandstone finishes. The fine sandstone texture adds an extra dimension to the coating and effectively disguises minor surface blemishes without changing the basic architectural concept. The combination of strong colour and texture can transform an ordinary surface into an architectural feature, making it a very popular choice for feature walls. Resene Sandtex may be applied by roller, spray or brush. A popular brush application method is to crows foot the coating, applying it by wide brush in a criss cross pattern to give a tactile brushed Mediterranean look. Use Resene Sandtex with a basecoat of Resene Lumbersider tinted to the Resene Sandtex topcoat colour to ensure uniformity of the finish. Some applicators may find it easier to apply a fine coat of Resene Sandtex so that the subsequent coat of Resene Sandtex will have something to grip onto. An excellent basecoat for Paint Effects Medium as the texture adds an extra dimension to the effect. Resene Sandtex also provides an ideal basecoat for creating Mediterranean style effects. The texture in Resene Sandtex adds an extra dimension to the paint effect. Its effect is not dissimilar to traditional limewashes or cement based paints. Typical uses: Block and brickwork, concrete, fibre cement, G.R.C. panels, monolithic building systems, primed galvanised steel, solid plaster, wallboards. |

Resene X-200 uniquely combines low viscosity with high build ensuring excellent penetration into cracks and pores, superb adhesion and durability. It develops into a tough, durable and continuous membrane, while its fibre reinforcement increases tensile strength. Resene X-200 is a popular choice for refurbishments in areas prone to earthquakes and for concrete buildings nationwide. It may be used on its own or under Resene textures such as Resene Resitex or Resene Sandtex. It is perfect on concrete, blockwork, fibre cement sheeting and solid plaster, where weathertightness is required. Resene X-200 may be brushed into small cracks (less than 1mm) to prevent moisture entering the damaged substrate. For cracks 1-2mm use Resene Brushable Crack Filler or a suitable sealant. Resene X-200 has a low sheen, slightly textured finish, in keeping with current trends for lower gloss finishes. It is easily applied and has excellent durability. Typical uses: Concrete blocks, concrete surfaces, fibre reinforced cement. Resene X-400 Resene X-400 is an ultra high build weathertight membrane, with superior small void and crack filling properties, designed for thick application over concrete surfaces. It's designed as a weathertight and an anti-carbonisation membrane and may be applied at very high thicknesses without sagging or film cracking. Resene X-400 can be textured using a texturing roller sleeve to give a light to medium rolled texture where surface imperfections in the concrete are to be disguised, with a standard roller for a less textured finish or by spray. With Resene X-400 you get the dual benefits of texture and weathertightness in one product combined with better washability and reduced dirt pickup compared to elastomeric coatings. Shows similar characteristics to the industry yardstick Resene X-200 in terms of adhesion, ease of application and durability. Replaces Resene Thixalon 5. Typical uses: All cementitious surfaces, concrete, blockwork, fibre cement sheeting, solid plaster and on cracked substrates where weathertightness is required. Brushed into small cracks it will prevent moisture entering the damaged substrate. |

Resene FX Magnetic Magic Resene FX Magnetic Magic is a premium waterborne paint formulated with iron oxides for maximum magnetic effect. Overcoat with your choice of Resene topcoats in over 3000 Resene colours. Magnets can be hung directly onto the finished area once dry and cured. To hang a poster, picture or photo from your magnetic area, use self-adhesive magnetic strips applied to the back of the item. The weight of the item will determine the number and placement of the magnets. For maximum magnetic strength use high quality magnets. Typical uses: Smooth, non-textured interior areas where it is desired to affix magnets. |
